About us

KTH Finance Society is by far the largest association at the THS, the student union at KTH. Engineers are today operating in most areas and are, thanks to the skills of mathematics and analytical thinking, coveted in occupations traditionally filled by private economists, especially in the financial sector. Our business therefore revolves around four pillars:

-To be a link between engineering students and industry. Our members get the opportunity to look for companies and potential employers, which at the same time get the opportunity to look into KTH.
-To give our members information about different career paths. We organize lectures and talking evenings with senior people in industry and recruiters who talk about what it takes to make a career.
-To provide members an opportunity to broaden their knowledge through lectures, seminars and other educational forms. We organize courses annually on financial derivatives, and each year we arrange bigger seminars in diverse areas such as business valuation and management.
-To provide a forum for students with interests in finance. For this purpose, we have a very nice club room located centrally at KTH. There are also opportunities for our members to take part of financial magazines and use computers with real-time information from professional programs used by professional traders.
